Financial Dashboard is a data visualization tool that displays a collection of reports about financial performance of organization. It provides a simple visual overview of health and direction of organization in terms of financial statements, including balance sheets, cash flow statements, and income statements. The dashboard displays report-based information that helps with the management of capital assets.
Financial dashboard is an interactive decision making tool that allows decision makers to perform financial analysis through using a number of financial ratios, KPIs and measures. All financial data generated by the dashboard can be classified into the following groups:
- Templates, which provide the basis for designing various kinds of financial performance reports
- Scorecards, which let forecast future financial performance through comparing the drivers of past financial performance with the drivers of present financial performance
- Summaries, which are overview reports that provide an overarching theme of the financial status, with no focus on specific details.
