Process Executive is a person who has an authorization for a primal governing input into a process. In other words a process executive handles the process and pilots it according to the process scheme towards its completion. Usually such a title is given to employees who take care of certain corporate processes on their own, so they are sole process managers and executers rolled into one role which is assigned to handle process inputs, manage process flow, and is responsible for process outputs.
Specifics included in a process executive role vary from organization to organization, but the bigger a process, the wider scope of process executive’s duties: if a process has more than one participant, then a process executive plays a role of a supervisor and regulator that adjusts the process and takes care of problem resolutions. Good example of a process executive is a call center operator who:
- Picks up a customer call;
- Considers the customer requests;
- Consults a customer and proposes a solution;
- Handles objections and provides additional info;
- Inputs a customer’s information into billing/CRM system on behalf of this customer;
- Registers a customer’s order and makes sure it is properly delivered;
- Supports follow-up and warranty activities;
