Process Input and Output – these two are the major matters closely connected to conception of a process; they actually make all the sense of a process which is a mechanism of transforming certain Input to a specified Output. In other words, Input is something you bring into the process to make it work, while Output is specific product or result which you expect to be produced by this process. Basically the schema of relations between process input and output includes the following:
- Input is specified, qualified, acquired and delivered into the process;
- Input is taken into operation, according to the process’s workflow;
- Input, along with progression of the process’s workflow, gets gradually converted into Output;
Once an Output can have any possible parameters, shape and features (anything making any value, or everything that can be used for some purpose), Input is usually limited with certain categories:
- Raw materials (some tangible substances or objects to be primarily processed into Output);
- Resources (any matters to support or supply the process, such as energy, service water, etc);
- Labour (certain efforts of employees, whether skillful or not);
- Information (for example specifications and requirements on Outputs to be produced);
