Project Resource is any type of tangible or intangible matters which can be estimated, planned, engaged, organized and utilized to accomplish a project. Conception of Project Resources includes the key project constraints: timeframe (amount of time before the start and end dates of a project) and money (budget of a project), but a wider understanding of project resources comprises:
- Manpower (skills, expertise and staffing);
- Technology (equipment, methods, vehicles and other machinery);
- Assets (buildings, land, rights, etc);
- Utilities (electricity, fuel, service water, etc);
- IT (telecommunicational and computing equipment);
- Plans and Standards (projecting documentation, specifications and measures);
- Project Knowledge (information on risks, project-related facts, etc);
The most of Project Resources can be characterized by the following traits:
- Availability (on certain date, at certain conditions, etc);
- Amount (for quantifiable resources, such as utilities, money, time, etc);
- Capacity (efficiency of resources: valuable input against useful output produced);
