Project Use Case is a term used in software and system engineering: it means a description of steps or interactions taking place between a user (called an “actor”) and software application, which route this user towards some useful results. Use Case is a term particularly used in user-interface design, so it can be used not only in designing IT systems, but also in projecting equipment and vehicles, as it addresses a much bigger number of conceptually similar cases of human-machine interaction. In some cases as an “actor” you may consider some other software system or machine. With a help of Use Cases you can:
- Describe what the system should complete for the actor to achieve a specified goal;
- Describe what the actor should do to make the system completing what he needs;
- Project the number of steps to complete the use case (to obtain a desired result);
- List the technical requirements, such as concurrency of action, security, performance, etc;
- Describe the actors (if more than one), their roles, and interactions;
