Schedule Conformance is a time management indicator that determines the total amount of an employee’s actual productive time delivered versus the total amount of working time scheduled. It is represented as a percentage proving how closely and productively the employee fulfills allocated working hours counted for any given period of time (day/week/month).
Conformance of a schedule identifies whether employees perform their scheduled tasks with a desired productivity level and within a preset time period. It serves as a quantitative measure that is concerned with the amount of productive time actually consumed versus the amount of time scheduled. If the actual productive time is equal to the scheduled time, then the schedule reaches conformance.
When talking about schedule conformance, the following two parameters should be considered:
- Productive time. An amount of time that an employee consumes when doing an assigned task.
- Unproductive time. An amount of time that an employee spends while being unavailable to do a task.
Being a qualitative measure, schedule conformance tends to be higher when employee productive time is higher than unproductive time.
