What is Task Board?

Task Board is either a non-electronic (physical) whiteboard to make records about tasks by using colored markers (dry erase markers) and an eraser, or an electronic (virtual) education technology or software solution that displays tasks and to-do lists on screen and allows using various virtual tools to edit and manage task data. Both kinds of task board are widely used and aim to help people make and manage records about their tasks and activities.

 Task board is a great tool that helps performers and decision makers to create, edit and communicate their tasks and to-do lists. A non-electronic task board has columns and rows with task attributes, such as Task Name, Performer, Due Date, and Duration. It is useful at internal meetings and conferences to present task information to local community (e.g. project team, department personnel).

 An electronic task board is often provided as a built-in module, component, or add-on of project management software to extend current functionality and provide users with a specific tool for managing and tracking tasks.
