Task Description is a detailed statement of work that is usually incorporated into a contract as an attachment (a task order). Task description as a supplementary contractual and obligating document includes specifications of services, activities, and results the customer requires from the contractor under terms of their contract. In other words it is utilized to ensure that the customer will receive the work results (for example a product, construction, or service) which are exactly compliant with the customer’s needs, so the customer can be fully satisfied.
The term task description is also often utilized in corporate HR management to denote additional informational items which expand and supplement the regular job descriptions: every particular task included into direct/indirect duties of certain workplace can be elaborated into more detailed terms, so the management can judge whether an individual (candidate) has the necessary skills making this person capable of these tasks – in such a way an employee’s competence can be assessed precisely.
