Task Sharing is a collaborative process when two or more people have the shared responsibility for results of their work. Usually this group represents a mix of different skills and competencies which can be helpful to execution of certain task: they have to team up according to ad hoc policy & rules (usually they are informal and promptly designed). The task sharers have to work together for the sake of common success because (the major reasons to share a task):
- A task needs acceleration (needs to be completed faster);
- A task cannot be completed by one performer (needs a teamwork);
As several people are assigned to the same task due to their useful qualities, they need to form up an informal workgroup where:
- Task sharers get the work portioned and allocated among them;
- Task sharers agree upon their commitments and mutual responsibility;
- Task sharers may recognize (elect) a team leader among them to empower him to communicate with the higher management on matters of the task performance;
- Task sharers support and coach each other to avoid common task failure;
