Probably, there is no project that begins with absolute certainty. Project management assumptions are necessary, because if a project is planned and executed, some facts are known while others still require estimation. Managers should estimate project management assumptions and constraints in order to determine the gap between certainty and wishful thinking. They cannot just hope that their projects have all the resources required for successful project delivery – instead they should work on setting assumption definitions.
PM assumptions examples and constraints can be determined and managed by using PM software. Such software allows using estimation methods to identify project needs and requirements. - Log in your database.
- Go to Task Tree view to create a project plan and break it down into phases and tasks.
- Use Custom Fields to make your project’s phases and tasks customized by adding user-defined fields that describe your project management assumptions and constraints.
- Set Estimated Time for tasks to estimate the working hours required for completing tasks.
- Use templates to create new projects in your database.
