Getting your most important business tasks accomplished is not always the easiest thing to do. You may face unexpected issues that force you to put off tasks. As a result, you get more tasks you have to do next day and you may feel guilty as you did not complete all your work this day. You start the new day with a sense of being overwhelmed and your daily work turns into daily routine. The reason of all these troubles is wrong planning. In variety of time management techniques one of the most traditional advice encourages us to do the following steps while planning tasks: create a list of tasks you must do every day, set priorities for each tasks on your list, rewrite your list in priority order, and specify your tasks with any additional information that may help find a solution.
To introduce these steps into your everyday life, you can use VIP Task Manager. This software allows to plan your to-do lists by priority and sort tasks in proper priority order. The function 'duplicate' makes it easy to copy regular tasks from one to-do list to another. VIP Task Manager allows to add notes and descriptions to the tasks. Task notes can be displayed in common to-do list by using Preview Mode. If you are a team leader, you can use VIP Task Manager to create and assign tasks to the team members. Rather than starting a new day with un-prioritized and un-organized tasks, your team members will get personal to-do lists and you will be able to track performance by using notifications messages.
Action plan:
- Launch VIP Task Manager
- Create a list of tasks for today
- Set up task priorities according to the importance. Use priority 'Urgent' for the most outstanding tasks and the priority 'Lowest' for not important tasks
- Sort task list by the 'Priority' column
- Add notes and any useful information by using the 'Notes' field
