Task reporting is the final step in creating task analytics. Reporting means reviewing results of the task monitoring activity to develop a task analytics report that summarizes data on tasks and their performance by certain parameters and for a specific period. Such a report can be designed in a narrative, graphic or tabular form.
Task reporting aims to provide decisions makers with valued information about the following:
- Current state of tasks and their performance peaks and falls
- Performance gaps and possible solutions
- Ways to reach task optimization
As a rule, task analytics reports are given to senior managers (e.g. project manager, team leader, supervisor) who need to make improvement decisions based upon report data. KPIs included in analytics reports help develop a graph representation of task performance. For example, task burn-down chart shows what tasks are completed for now and what performance is expected in the future. OLAP cube includes certain KPIs to create a task behavior model that explains possible ways of task optimization. Various charts and diagrams (pie, scatter, line, area, etc.) help visualize task analytics data and make reports much easier to understand.
CentriQS Task Analytics Solution CentriQS provides users with Task Analytics OLAP cube that allows analyzing employee performance, project progress and other parameters from multiple perspectives. Users can work with Pivot tables to group analytical data, visualize it on charts of various types or gather Pivot table and most frequently used charts on one dashboard. |
