Filters Filters panel is one of the key tracking instruments within VIP Task Manager. It allows users to customize their Task Tree, Task List and Scheduler (Calendar) by any task attribute to display only required tasks. For example users can set filters to view only tasks assigned to certain employee that have status “In progress” and were created on certain date. |

IT-company office managers can filter tasks in order to see if there are any tasks scheduled for field computer specialists for tomorrow or if certain specialists have free operative time to appoint them a visit to client. VIP Task Manager allows saving filters, so office manager can use preset filter that will select tasks by Field department and to use Calendar view that will display department tasks by specialists in convenient view on time grid. Filters help employees to customize their Task List to view tasks that should be done today, during the week or month or any time period. IT-company management can use filters to filter tasks by assignments, statuses, task groups etc. and track work performance. Status Status is significant attribute of any task executed according to the workflow (current state of each task) and helps to monitor IT-company activity. Each task moves trough consecution of statuses before it becomes done. Together with percent of task completeness it is the main instrument of task performance reporting. VIP Task Manager allows customizing company workflow according to specific needs. Users are able to create custom statuses and workflows that can be applied for task within different departments. |
||
Task statuses can be percent-related or not. For example status “Complete” sets 100% of completion and setting of any percent between 0 and 100 sets status “In progress”. These settings can be changed as well. Team coordinators or department heads can filter tasks by department and then group tasks by assignment - this will help to see what tasks are planned for each specialist within department, what are current statuses and percent of completeness. | ||
Overdue tasks Sometimes tasks can exceed the time limits (task due date or finish date), such tasks are procrastinated and can be marked out with custom color. So they can easily attract attention of users. Besides there is possibility to set different colors mark out in correspondence with time left before task due date.
