Sharing Files and Links within law firm workflow
Workflow of law firm includes wide document circulation. This circulation can include both internal documents of firm and official standardized documents. We can take for example of internal documents written reports that are prepared by paralegals after they analyze and organize the information about cases, such reports can be used by attorneys in determining how cases should be handled. The example of work with official documents is preparation, reviewing and finalizing of LP (limited partnership) Agreement. Work at these documents is activity that requires collaboration of paralegals and lawyers. This collaboration includes sharing of documents - one of paralegals prepares the agreement and lawyer should check and verify it. Such process can be easily arranged with a help of VIP Task Manager , because it allows attaching files and links to tasks. When legal assistant finishes the document he/she can attach it in few clicks to appropriate task and change status to "Complete", so that the lawyer can be immediately informed that agreement is ready and just requires verification.

Then this lawyer will open attached document, make some corrections if required and change status to "Verified", so legal assistant can print document out and proceed with the business process. The documents which contain formatted text, tables, charts, etc, as well as any other documents can be attached as original file directly to the task and stored in database of VIP Task Manager. If file is too big it can be stored in shared folder within LAN and link to it can be attached to task, so allowed users can easily access and modify documents through the hyperlinks in tasks.

Making Notes within law firm workflow
Law firm tasks may require some documentation which explains, specifies and describes each task in additional details. For example law specialists may need to supplement their tasks with quotations from laws, from correspondence with clients and partners, from judicial decisions that relate to certain cases, from legal articles, from contractual agreements and many other documents. Sometimes it is just necessary to save some information that you can not keep in mind for a long time. For such cases VIP Task Manager provides possibility to save Notes in special section of tasks.

Some of legal documents or quotations from them can be added to your tasks in the form of notes. Also Note section of tasks in VIP Task Manager can be used for quick reporting - users can save there informal or official reports about their work performance. You can display your tasks notes on your Task List and Task Tree view or, if required, you can print out tasks notes.
