Tracking tasks in media workflows
To make sure that departments of your media organization run workflows in accordance with schedules, you need to control resource assignments and track tasks in real time. VIP Task Manager enables real time information capturing and task tracking allowing setting actual task parameters against planned ones. For this purpose, VIP Task Manager offers Task List view which is an excellent tool to track tasks within media workflows. Task List view displays all tasks as a plain list which can be sorted and filtered by many parameters like Status, Due Date, Priority, Assignment, Complete, etc. This tracking tool will be perfect for journalists, editors, scriptwriters, producers and other employees of your media company to do daily tasks. For example, they can display assignments for today only, or review what tasks are planned for tomorrow.

Tracking tasks in media projects
VIP Task Manager has Task Tree view which is an excellent tool to track tasks within media projects. Task Tree view displays any media project as a multi-tier structure that may include sub-tiers (subfolders) and multiple tasks. When you need to track tasks in media projects, you can use Group Filter. For example, project manager from Radio/TV Department needs to track current status of tasks in the final stage of "Media Project" (see the screenshot at the right). He can select task group "Final Stage" and apply Group Filter to this group. Then Task Tree view will show only this task group and all tasks inside it. Tasks and task groups can be also sorted and filtered by Status and Priority.

Tracking overdue tasks in media workflows and projects
When some tasks in workflows or in media projects are overdue, VIP Task Manager highlights them with orange color. You can easily see overdue tasks in common task lists and track who's responsible for these tasks. If you want your employees not to make procrastination and not to forget about important tasks, you can set task reminders to be emailed to employees before due dates. |
