The primary goal of PR Department is to develop Publications Policy and watch how it is kept. This Policy, which ensures consistency and accuracy to the corporate style and design, is applied to all publications which are printed within the origination or by external printing service providers. This policy should exclude the usage of any discriminative or negative text, picture or any else reference/mention in the news releases and newsletters. News Editor takes responsibility of prevention of mass mailing threats and spam through newsletters. . |

According to the Policy, The PR Department plans publications programs which actually contain the ways and opportunities for describing an event and bringing it to publicity. By using VIP Task Manager, News Editor can plan publications programs. For example, there is Opened Day event. He can create the task group "Opened Day" and fill it with action list assigned to appropriate employees. Actually, this task group is a publications program with steps describing how to implement it. VIP Task Manager allows to assign tasks of the program, set due dates and priorities. News Editor can use Calendar view to schedule actions and tasks within the program
Tracking
Most publications are on the schedule, and there can be a lot of jobs in the publication program. News Editor revises articles, news releases, newsletters and reviews which will be included in the program. In order to complete the program within the schedule, it should be tracked in advance to ensure that Publication Policy is kept and deadlines are met. With VIP Task Manager News Editor can efficiently track the progress of the program development.

VIP Task Manager allows to monitor task lists of the writers and translators in real time so News Editor can supervise the task performance and take quick measures. Once a task of the program was changed, VIP Task Manager sends notification message to supervisor on email. For example, the task "Compose Opened Day review" was completed by writer, and the task got status "Composed". Translator will receive notification on this event and proceed with translating the review. At the same time, supervisor of this task will also get the notification and so be aware about current progress.

Reporting
The final phase of the publications program is the process of reporting. The function of Publications and Periodicals requires from employees of PR Department a strict observance of Publication Policy and design standards. Reports will help News Editor check which tasks are completed, which ones are not and procrastinated. VIP Task Manager allows to build reports on task lists on the employees in HTML and graph view. The report in HTML view includes all important task fields such as "General" (task name, status, date completed, etc.), "Assignment", "Notes", "History", "Comments" and "Custom fields".

When building a new report, the employee can choose which items are included. For example, writers and translator can choose the items like "General", "Assignment" and "Attachment". The report with such composition will show task name, progress, completion date, assigned resources and names of attached article. The graph reports are built with Chart Panel. This panel has several available diagrams such as Pie, Linen, Bar, Area and Column. Once a chart is built, it cam be printed out as a report.
